Built To Withstand Anything: Hamilton County Courthouse Celebrates 100 Years
The Hamilton County Law Library on the sixth floor is Berkowitz's favorite part of the building. It has soaring, rounded ceilings, granite columns, and at least one book that's very important to Berkowitz. It turns out the family Bible got left behind on the day of his swearing in.
“We went to the Law Library and asked if they had a Bible we could use and it just so happened I ended up taking the oath of office on the very same Bible that William Howard Taft did when he was sworn in as a judge of the Cincinnati Superior Court in 1887. To be a part of that history in the building and the library, it really is a tremendous honor.”
Judge Josh Berkowitz joined Mike Allen's Saturday Midday radio on The Big One, 700 WLW, to discuss the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Hamilton County Courthouse in October.

Hamilton County Municipal Court a Model of Justice & Efficiency
When it comes to doling out justice, there is a big difference between Cuyahoga County in northeast Ohio and Hamilton County in southwest Ohio.
The contrast is at the municipal court level. That’s where traffic offenses and misdemeanor crimes are prosecuted, and where bail is set for felony suspects whose cases will be handled in common pleas courts.
